KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State volleyball hopes to recover from its road stumble last weekend in which the Owls dropped a pair of conference matches at Austin Peay and Lipscomb. They get an immediate chance at redemption as Friday night will see the Owls take on Lispcomb for a second straight game in Nashville, starting at 7 pm. That's followed by Sunday's Senior Day home finale against Central Arkansas. It will be the final home game for three KSU seniors:
Chelsey Abel,
Dani Ballou and Jazmine Brown.
KSU is bringing a 9-5 mark into the weekend, and has the potential to finish anywhere between a tie for third and seventh place. The Owls have already clinched a spot in next week's ASUN Tournament, in which the top eight seeds qualify. This year's ASUN tourney will be hosted by Lipscomb on Nov. 17-19 in Nashville.
The biggest key for KSU this season has been its overall depth, as a year ago the Owls were led mostly by the same two players on offense. This year is seeing a very balanced attack, as KSU is routinely playing 11-12 players a match, while the top seven players in the kills category all range between 80-222.
