Nashville, Tenn. – The Kennesaw State Owls fell short in their first ASUN Conference match against the Lipscomb Bisons, dropping a 4-0 decision Sunday afternoon.
 
The Owls (1-4-0, 0-1-0) were able to get nine shots off with two shots on target. The Bisons (2-1-0, 1-0-0) totaled 13 shots with nine being on target. KSU's effort was led by senior Erin Harris with two shots and one on-goal, senior Kendall Baker had one shot on target and junior Kathryn Schreck tied Harris with two shots.
 
After the Bisons succeeded with a penalty kick goal at the 35:50 mark, another successful shot-to-goal was made about a minute later at 36:57. Midfielder Keli Beiler led the effort by scoring all three goals in the first period.
 
The Bisons scored a fourth and final goal in the second period on a shot by forward Molly Grant, which was assisted by defender Logan McFadden.
 
AJ Needham suffered the loss in net. The Cumming, Ga. native totaled five saves.
 
The Owls come back home to battle Liberty University on Thursday, March 4. at 2 p.m. The match at Fifth Third Bank Stadium serves as KSU's first home match of the spring season. For attendance information, click here.
