TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Kennesaw State women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season as it fell 6-0 to Alabama Sunday night in Tuscaloosa.

Entering the match winless in three previous outings, the Crimson Tide (1-2-1) came out motivated, scoring three first-half goals en route to its initial win of the season and handing the Owls (3-1) their first loss.
How it Happened
» Alabama scored in the ninth minute and added to its lead with two goals in the final five minutes of the first half to lead 3-0 at halftime.
» The Crimson Tide held a 15-2 shot advantage in the first half. Â
» Alabama increased its lead with goals in the 53rd, 68th and 78th minutes.

"This was a tough loss tonight against a very good Alabama team. We got off to a slow start and Alabama punished us for it," head coach Benji Walton said. "There were a lot of hard lessons learned tonight and the key will be how we respond to this result. How we respond will ultimately define our 2018 season."
