Squires Leads Way with 4 Goals and 7 Draw Controls

THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State finished the regular season on a high note with a 20-7 victory over Howard in Washington D.C. on Sunday, April 29.
 
Abby Squires led the way with four goals and winning seven draw controls.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
· The Owls came out ready to go going up 11-1 in the first 14 minutes of the game.
· They extended their lead to 15-2 at halftime.
· Kennesaw State's largest lead of the day was by 15 as they closed everything out 20-7.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
· The win makes Kennesaw State 3-2 in ASUN play giving them over a .500 record for the first time in program history.
· The Owls will be the three seed next week at the ASUN Championship.
· Abby Squires had her best game as an Owls finishing with seven draw controls and scoring four goals.
· In all, six Owls had multiple goals in the game.
· Siena Gore scored three goals tying an ASUN single-season record for goals in a season. She has 67 through the 17 games.

UP NEXT
The Owls have clinched the three seed in the ASUN Championship and will open up against Coastal Carolina this Thursday, May 3.
