THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State dropped its game against the Jacksonville Dolphins on the road on Sunday, April 22.

Lauren Hoffman kept the Owls in the game in the first half with 11 saves, but the ASUN leading Dolphins grabbed an edge late in the first half and pushed their lead out in the second half.

Despite the loss, with Kennesaw State's victory on Friday they have clinched a spot in this year's ASUN Championship.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
· Kennesaw State hung tough in the beginning answering each goal from Jacksonville to keep it tight only trailing 6-4 over the first 12 minutes.
·
Siena Gore and
Emily Napierala each got goals to pull the Owls within five with under a minute to go, but JU scored a late goal right before the half to lead 13-7.
· The Dolphins opened the second half with the first three goals pushing their lead out to a margin that Kennesaw State couldn't recover from.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Lauren Hoffman made 11 saves in the game tying her season high. It is the fourth time this season she has made double-digit saves.
· The Owls eight goals is the most they have scored against Jacksonville in program history.
· Napierala and Gore both had two goals each. Four other players had one goal.
