KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State men's basketball earned its first ASUN victory of the season over the Stetson Hatters with a 95-81 victory in the KSU Convocation Center.
 
James Scott and 
Nick Masterson were sensational leading the Owls as the two combined for 60 points going 21-32 from the floor.
 
Scott posted a game high 32 points with Masterson right behind him with 28.
 
With the game tied at 16 early, the Owls went small inserting 
Anthony Wilson into the lineup and he sparked KSU immediately with his play. Along with Wilson making plays on the defensive end and sharing the ball on the offensive end, Scott and Masterson started heating up from the outside.
 
With the two players catching fire, the Owls went on a 12-2 run to go up eight with 5:39 left in the first half.
 
KSU didn't slow down from there pushing their lead into double figures and held a 49-36 lead at the half.
 
Out of the break it was more of the same as the Owls grabbed a 16-point lead. Stetson got the deficit down to single digits once, but Kennesaw State quickly pushed their lead back to 18 before finishing the Hatters off.
 
For the game, Kennesaw State shot 58 percent from the floor with 21 assists.
 
Wilson filled up the stat sheet finishing with 12 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three steals.
 
The win moves them to 1-3 in ASUN play with FGCU coming to town for a Saturday afternoon showdown at 4:30.

	- This is the first win for Kennesaw State in the ASUN moving their record to 1-3.
 
	- KSU is 5-4 on its home floor this season with the victory over Stetson.
 
	- The Owls have beaten Stetson in seven of the past eight meetings between the two teams.
 
	- With the score tied at 16, Wilson checked in and the Owls went to a small lineup. After that point, the Owls finished the half on a 33-20 run to lead by 13 at the break.
 
	- The Owls finished with 21 assists against the Hatters. That is the fourth time this season that Kennesaw State has had at least 20 assists in a game.
 
	- KSU shot 58.3 percent from the floor in the game going 35-60. That's the highest for the Owls this season and the second time they have shot at least 58 percent in a game. The other game was against Carver-Bible.
 
	- Kennesaw State scored 95 points tonight. That is the most in an ASUN game since the Owls scored 101 against North Florida back during the 2015-16 season.
 
	- James Scott and Nick Masterson combined to score 60 points in the game going 21-32. They were both one point off of the their career highs.
 
	- Scott had his second career 30-point game tonight finishing the game with 32. His other 30-point game also came against the Hatters, where he scored 33 in Deland, Florida a season ago.
 
	- Masterson had one of the most efficient 28-point performances that fans will ever see. He went 10-12 from the floor making 5-6 three pointers. He made his last shot at the 12:25 mark in the second half.
 
	- Wilson had one of his best games in his young career finishing with 12 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three steals. His energy off the bench sparked the team to a double-digit lead in the first half.
