KENNESAW, Ga.
– Kennesaw State dropped a tough 66-49 battle with FGCU in the KSU Convocation Center on Saturday, January 20.

The Owls couldn't get their offense going against the stifling FGCU defense as they shot 32 percent from the floor for the game.

Kennesaw State got off to a good start in the game limiting FGCU to only making 3 of their first 10 shots and getting out to a 16-12 lead. Early on, the Owls were paced by seven points from Isaac Mbuyamba.

The Eagles didn't stay cold for long though as they heated up at the end of the first half, hitting six of their last seven shots going into the break to hold a 32-34 lead.

In the second half, FGCU pushed their lead out to double figures and KSU just couldn't mount a comeback with their struggles shooting the ball.

Kennesaw State did have two players in double figures as Nick Masterson and Tyler Hooker both had 11 points.

The Owls now have another home game coming up on Wednesday, January 24 against NJIT at 7 p.m.
