KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Stetson in an ASUN Conference match Friday in DeLand, Fla.

After a scoreless first half, the Hatters (6-2-2, 1-0-1) scored three second-half goals to post the victory. The loss dropped the Owls to 5-4-3 overall and 0-1-1 in ASUN Conference play.

DECISIVE GOAL
Stetson scored the winning goal in the 63rd minute after Adrianna Suarez received a cross from Sarah Collins and found an opening on the left side of the goal. The Hatters scored again in the 67th and 83rd minutes to cap the scoring.

SORNPAO'S SAVE
Redshirt freshman
Tiffany Sornpao came up with a big save in the first half as she thwarted a penalty kick attempt by Erin Avers in the 24th minute that kept the match scoreless.

QUOTING THE COACH
"I thought we fought hard tonight. It was one of those games where you had a sense that whoever scored first was going to have the edge and I think that's how it played out," head coach
Benji Walton said. "I was proud of the how the girls battled. It's a tough one to swallow but we have to regroup and get ready for Sunday."

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
After an evenly played first half with both teams attempting six shots, Stetson outshot Kennesaw State, 7-3 in the second half and finished the match with a 13-9 advantage in shots. The Owls held a 7-5 advantage in shots on-goal, but were kept off the board by Hatters goalkeeper Emily Plotz.
