THE STORYLINE:Â
· Kennesaw State hosted No. 12 Notre Dame at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Thursday, April 6. The Owls hung with the Fighting Irish early in the first half as
Sydney Farwick and
Haley Swift answered their first two goals, but once Notre Dame settled in, they used a 5-0 run to gain the lead and Kennesaw State couldn't recover.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
· After Notre Dame scored each of their first two goals, Kennesaw State answered both times to tie the score back up.
· The Fighting Irish continued to surge ahead though as they ran off five straight to pull away from the Owls.
·
Izzy Palermo got in the action for KSU scoring her 17
th of the season late in the first half for KSU's third goal of the day. Notre Dame led 14-3 at the break.
· The second half belonged to the Irish as they pushed their lead out, but Farwick got her second goal of the day on a pass from Swift late in the second half.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:Â
· Farwick won six draw controls for Kennesaw State to go along with her three points with two goals and one assist.
· Swift pushed her goal streak to eight games in a row and has scored in nine of 10 games this season.
· Five different players caused a turnover against Notre Dame.
