THE STORYLINE:Â
· The Kennesaw State women's lacrosse team got a big win over ASUN Conference foe Delaware State by rewriting the record books on the way to a 26-3 victory.
Olivia Hokanson returned from a knee injury she suffered in the fall to lead KSU with four goals and two assists on the offensive end. The win brings KSU to 6-5 on the season, setting a new single-season wins record.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
· The Owls offense got going early and often as they jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first nine minutes of the game.Â
· Seconds after Hokanson checked into a game for the first time this season,
Connor Zophy found her in front of the goal and she slotted home her first goal of the season and the Owls second of the game.
· Kennesaw State's offense continued to click as they put up 18 first-half goals and had a 16-goal lead at halftime.
· In the second half, everyone saw action and
Emma Dougherty and
Izzy Bertolani scored their first collegiate goals for KSU.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:Â
· With the victory, the Owls set a new Division I record for wins with six on the season.
· Kennesaw State set six single-game records against the Hornets. The records that were broken were goals with 26, assists with 15, points with 41, goals in a half with 18, least amount of goals allowed with three and goal differential at 23.
· Not only did the Owls net 26 goals in the game, but they assisted on 15 of the 26 goals.
· In Hokanson's season debut, she didn't disappoint. She led KSU with four goals and two assists. Overall, seven Owls scored multiple goals in the game.
· All three goalies saw action in the game with
Elaine Bradley leading the way with eight saves.
