KSU has Season High 24 Assists

SEATTLE, Wa. 
– Kennesaw State dropped its opening game in Seattle to Washington 85-71 on Tuesday, November 28.
 
Four Owls scored in double figures led by James Scott with 21 points. KSU had 24 assists on 28 field goals.
 
Kennesaw State got off to a hot start from the floor making 8 of their first 13 shots to take a one-point lead at 21-20.
 
Over the next six minutes, Washington went on a 22-4 run to take command of the game. The Huskies led 48-29 at half time.
 
In the second half, KSU found an offensive rhythm late making 9 of their last last 12 shots, but it wasn't enough to catch the Huskies in Alaska Airlines Arena.
 
Nick Masterson had another productive game for the Owls going 6-10 from the floor for 15 points.
 
As a team, Kennesaw State shot 48 percent from the floor and had their highest assist total of the season with 24.
 
The Owls will stay out west to take on Seattle on Thursday, November 30.

  • The Owls started the same group against Washington as against Tennessee State with Hooker, Scott, Masterson, Jankovic and Jones.
  • Kennesaw State had a season high 24 assists on 28 field goals. The previous high for assists on the season was 19.
  • Scott led the team for the fourth time this season with 21 points. It's the second time he's scored at least 20 points in a game this season.
  • Nick Masterson had another productive night going 6-10 for 15 points. In the last two games, he is a combined 13-20 from the field.
  • Tyler Hooker got his second start of the season and never came off the floor playing a career high 40 minutes. He led the team with eight assists.
