COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Kennesaw State men's basketball team fell on the road at Tennessee Tech 82-68 on Saturday, November 18.
The Owls were led by
James Scott with 19 points. Three other Owls were in double figures as
Jordan Jones had 15,
Tyler Hooker had 11 points and
Kosta Jankovic finished with 10.
Kennesaw State found themselves in an early hole trailing 10-2 in the first three minutes, but responded with an 8-0 run to come back and tie the score at 10.
KSU extended their run to 18-3 giving themselves a seven-point lead halfway through the first half.
With the Owls up 24-19, it was Tennessee Tech's turn to go on a run. The Golden Eagles locked in on defense leading to a 14-0 run to take a 33-24 lead.
Before the break, KSU cut into the Golden Eagles lead to only trail by three at halftime.
Early in the second half, Tennessee Tech got it going before the Owls could and pushed their lead out to double-digits.
Scott had 11 points in the second half, but it wasn't enough for the Owls to get back into the game once the Golden Eagles grabbed a double-digit lead.
Next up for Kennesaw State will be Florida State on Wednesday, November 22 in Tallahassee, Florida.

- James Scott led the team with 19 points. It is the second time in four games that he has led the Owls in scoring.
- Kosta Jankovic started his third game in a row and scored in double figures once again for the Owls. It was the second time in three starts Jankovic has been a spark on offense.
- Jordan Jones had a big game with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Those are season highs in points and assists.
