HOW IT HAPPENED:
Kennesaw State came out hot on the road using an early 6-0 run in the first set to go up 9-3. They kept their foot on the gas extending their lead and closing out the opening set 25-14.

In the second set it was the Spartans that got some separation going up five at 13-8. The Owls chipped away at the lead though coming back to even things up at 14. Later in the set, KSU held a 24-21 lead, but USC Upstate spoiled three set points to tie the score at 24. Kennesaw State stayed composed though and got two kills in a row to take the set 26-24.

With a 2-0 lead in the match, the Owls used an 8-1 run in the third set to go up 11-7. The Spartans tried to stick around, but the Owls were too much today closing out the set and the match 25-20.
