Feeling Good in the Sun
- Kennesaw State took two-of-three from Stetson last weekend, winning its first six ASUN series of the season.
- For the first time since joining the conference in 2006, the Owls have won each of their first six series in conference play.
- The Owls hold a slight one-game lead over Jacksonville (13-5) with one weekend remaining, fighting for their first regular-season championship title in Atlantic Sun Conference history.
 
Atlantic Sun Conference Play
- The Owls hold an impressive 14-4 mark in conference play, going 9-3 at home and an impressive 5-1 on the road.  
- Kennesaw State totaled 41 hits (seven doubles, one triple, one HR) last weekend against Jacksonville.
- The Owls are now batting .329 (214-650) in conference play, and currently rank second in the league with an overall batting average of .296.
- Two Owls –Corey Greeson (.413) and Austin Upshaw (.417) –are batting over .400 in conference play, and KSU has a total of nine hitters batting over .300.
- Kennesaw State has out-hit opponents 214-157 in conference play and outscored opponents 128-81 to help earn a 14-4 record.
- The Owls have posted a 3.64 ERA with 155 strikeouts to 68 walks overall as a staff.
- Richard Lovelady has 12 appearances in conference play, posting a 1-0 mark and a 1.06 ERA in 17.0 innings of work out of the pen.
 
Falling in Love
- Richard Lovelady has 12 appearances in conference play, posting a 1-0 mark and a 1.06 ERA in 17.0 innings of work out of the pen.
- In fact, Lovelady leads the team with 33 appearances, holding a 3-3 record and a 3.21 ERA in 42.0 innings pitched.
- Lovelady's 33 appearances rank second in the NCAA, and are seven shy of breaking Justin McCalvin's 39 appearances for the most in a single season in D-I program history.
-  The lefty has 48 strikeouts and 25 walks while opponents are batting just .182 against him on the mound.
 
Other Bullpen Support
-  The Owls have also received plenty of help from the bullpen, as Logan Hutchinson and Erich Stahl have provided a key one-two punch.
- Hutchinson is tied on the roster for most wins, going 6-1 on the season while posting an ERA of 2.73.
- Hutchinson's 2.73 ERA leads the team and he is second on the roster with 27 appearances.
- In ASUN action, Hutchinson is an impressive 3-0 with a 1.50 ERA, striking out eight batters.
- Stahl leads the team in saves (8) and holds a 2.96 ERA in 24 appearances. The righty has thrown 24.1 innings and struck out 23 batters.
- In conference play, Stahl owns a 1.29 ERA and three saves.
 
Williams Coming Alive
- Grant Williams had his best weekend of the season, totaling a team-high seven hits against Jacksonville and a .538 batting average.
- Williams totaled three doubles and five RBI while slugging .769 and a on-base percentage of .571 over the weekend against the Dolphins.
- In fact, Williams is currently on a nine-game hitting streak entering the weekend against FGCU, batting .447 (17-for-38) during that stretch.
- Williams has totaled six games of at least two hits during the stretch.
- The sophomore is leading the team in hits (17), doubles (5), and total bases (22) – posting a .579 slugging percentage and an on-base percentage of .488.  
- Overall, Williams is batting .292 (52-178) with seven doubles, two triples and a home run on the season. He has slugged for .371 and a OB of .363.
 
Have Yourself a Night, Greeson
- Greeson, a Calhoun, Ga. native, knocked in a career-high six RBI over the first six innings, accounting for two RBI in the second, fourth and in the sixth frame – which was a two-run home run, his fifth of the season.
- Corey Greeson's six RBI fell one shy for a single-game record of seven set by Andy Chriscaden in 2012.
- Overall, Greeson is batting a team-high .372 (54-145) with a team-best 10 doubles and third with five home runs. He is slugging .569 and has a OB% of .435.
 
Owl Facts
- The Owls have won each of their six A-Sun weekend series, taking two-of-three from UNF, Lipscomb, Jacksonville and Stetson, and swept NJIT and USC Upstate.  
- KSU's eight-game conference win streak was snapped on Sunday as Lipscomb avoided a sweep with a 11-9 13-inning victory over the Owls.
- Austin Upshaw collected his second A-Sun Player of the Week accolade after batting .667 with 10 hits against USC Upstate. He tallied four multi-hit games including a 4-4 effort in the series opener at USC Upstate.
- The Owls have won 11 of their last 15 home games at Stillwell Stadium and six of their last nine games on the road – including a 5-1 mark in conference play.
- With the win over Auburn Wednesday, the Owls swept the Tigers in a season series for the first time in program history, and marked the second time since turning D-I in 2006 to sweep an SEC opponent in a season.
- Since April 6, senior Brennan Morgan only has two games without a hit.
