THE STORYLINE:Â
· Stetson took a two-goal lead with 10:23 remaining and the Owls responded out of the timeout to end the game on a 3-0 run to clinch the victory for Kennesaw State 12-11.
· With the game tied at 11,
Sydney Farwick came up with the ball and rifled a shot passed Stetson's goalie for the one-goal lead. KSU won the following draw control and ran most of the clock down, but the win wasn't sealed until
Emily Hallberg took a charge with three seconds remaining.
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
·KSU raced out to a 4-0 lead in the first 15 minutes of the game behind two goals from
Taylor McGhee. The Hatters closed the gap by halftime, but KSU still led 6-5 into the break.
· There was very little separation in the second half as the game was tied three times and there were three lead changes.
· Facing its biggest deficit of the game down by two goals, Kennesaw State responded with three goals from
Olivia Hokanson,
Connor Zophy and Farwick's game winner.
COACH LLANES' QUOTE ON THE WIN:Â
· "We were really excited to play this game, especially after a quick turnaround against JU. The girls really did a good job of focusing and scouting and they executed the game plan really well. They were super coachable today and willing to stay disciplined and committed throughout the game. We had a lot of players step up and not accept anything else other than a win and that was great to see."

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:Â
· Hokanson led the team with four goals and also picked up three ground balls and won three draw controls. In her career against the Hatters, she has 12 goals in two games.
· Farwick took the game over today in the midfield and finished with two goals, two assists and picked up seven ground balls. The seven ground balls is the most this season and second most in her career. The one game she's had more ground balls was two seasons ago against Stetson when she had eight.

Lauren Hoffman and
Elaine Bradley combined to get the win for KSU. Hoffman finished with five saves and Bradley had one.
