Zophy Finishes Game with Goal and an Assist

THE STORYLINE: 
· After the Owls got on the board first, Mercer scored six unanswered goals to grab a lead and never looked back after that.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
·Connor Zophy got the Owls on the board and in the lead three minutes into the game, but Mercer took over after that and held a 6-1 lead at hafltime.
· After briefly cutting the lead to four at the beginning of the second half, Mercer went on a 4-0 run to put the game out of reach.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 
· The Owls outshot the Bears 31-22 in the game.
· They also picked up 43 ground balls to Mercer's 30. Haley O'Donoghue led the way in ground balls picking up six.
· It was a physical game as Mercer had 51 fouls in the game including 29 in the second half, which was more than Kennesaw State had the entire game. The Owls finished the game with 24 fouls.  
 
UP NEXT
Kennesaw State will travel to play Howard on Friday, April 15 at noon. The Owls are 3-0 all-time against the Bison.
