THE STORYLINE:Â
· KSU kept it close early with goals from
Emily Hallberg,
Shannon Moore and
Olivia Hokanson, but Old Dominion scored eight unanswered goals in the first half to push the lead out to 12-3 at halftime.
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
· After falling down 2-0, Moore found Hallberg to get the Owls on the board. KSU cut into ODU's lead two more times getting within one goal, but the Monarchs got going on offense to grab a comfortable lead going into the second half.
· The Owls came out of the locker room and scored two of the first three goals and played ODU to a 6-4 second half.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:Â

Olivia Hokanson had two goals and an assist today against Old Dominion. She also picked up three ground balls and caused one turnover.
· The first two goals for the Owls today came from the bench as
Emily Hallberg and
Shannon Moore each notched goals in the first few minutes. In total, KSU had six players score.

Lauren Hoffman and
Elaine Bradley both combined to make 12 saves as each one had six each. The two goalies also held ODU to just 4-12 on free-position attempts.
UP NEXTKennesaw State heads back home for the final two regular season home games at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. On Friday, the team will play first-year program Central Michigan at 5 p.m. and then on Sunday, the Owls will play Detroit for senior day. Both games will be broadcasted on ESPN3.
