Kennesaw State returns home to Bailey Park on Thursday (Mar. 10) when it hosts Boston College in a single game beginning at 5 p.m.
 
The Owls are currently 12-5 on season after suffering a late-inning 3-1 loss at Jacksonville State on Tuesday (Mar. 8). Kennesaw State boasts a 10-1 home record and has won four in a row at Bailey Park.
 
ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE
Boston College is 12-9 on the season heading into Wednesday's (Mar. 9) game at Georgia State. The Eagles are coming off a 4-3, 10-inning loss at Georgia on Tuesday. The loss snapped a seven-game winning streak that included a 5-0 mark at the Mercer Tournament last weekend. Boston College is batting .278 as a team and has three players hitting .300 or better, including sophomore Jordan Chimento who is batting .383 with three home runs and 15 RBIs. The Eagles pitching staff has compiled a 2.64 ERA and is led by Allyson Frei, who has posted a 7-5 record and 3.22 ERA while starting a team-high 12 games.

* Kennesaw State has a 2.26 ERA and has held the opponent to two or fewer runs 11 times while posting a 10-1 record in those games.
* The Owls have enjoyed the friendly confines of Bailey Park as they have recorded a 10-1 record at home. Kennesaw State is batting .266 as a team and has posted a 1.73 ERA.
* Junior catcher Courtney Sutter is the club's top hitter at home, batting .412 with a team-leading five home runs and collecting seven RBIs.
* Junior Logan Viers has recorded a 5-0 record, 1.30 ERA and struck out 43 batters in 37 2/3 innings while starting 10 games at Bailey Park.
* Senior Missy Perkowski leads the Owls with seven multiple-RBI games and tops the club with a .400 average.
* Sutter has 18 career home runs and is one away from tying for 10th place on Kennesaw State's career home run list. Veringa has 17 homers and is also nearing the top 10.
* With 91 career RBIs, Veringa is nine shy of 100.
* Junior right-hander Logan Viers, who has 47 strikeouts on the season, is six punch outs away from 100 for her career.
* Senior Morgan Sikes is also nearing 100 career strikeouts as she enters Thursday's game with 92 for her career.
* Sophomore Katie Cannington is 9-for-9 in stolen base attempts to top the club.

UP NEXT
Following Thursday's game versus Boston College, Kennesaw State heads back out on the road for a weekend trip to Cookeville, Tenn., to compete in the Tennessee Round Robin hosted by Tennessee Tech. The Owls play two each against Tennessee Tech and East Tennessee State beginning Saturday (Mar. 12).
