How It Happened
Both teams scored twice in the first inning. The Lady Flames singled in three-straight at-bats for the 2-0 advantage. The hosts responded in the bottom half of the frame. With the bases loaded, Johnson went opposite field to bring home
Hannah Harvey and Howes.
A scoreless second set up Howes as the leadoff batter. In her final softball game, the catcher went yard for her 11
th homer and 41
st RBI of the season.
Liberty took the lead with three runs in the fourth. A bases-loaded double made it 4-3 then a groundout extended the deficit.
Five runs across the final two innings set up the final score.
