THE STORYLINE:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
· On the first day of spring, the hottest thing on the field was the Owls offense as five players had multiple goals and eight players scored in total.
· KSU came out of the locker room hot, racing out to a 7-2 lead in the first 13 minutes of the game.
· With an 8-3 lead after a Taylor Catts goal, Radford scored the final three goals of the first half to trail the Owls 8-6 at halftime.
· Similar to the first half, KSU came out aggressive in the second half pushing their lead back to 12-6 after two goals from McGhee.
· Radford tried to make one last comeback and got within three, but Kennesaw State's offense was too strong today finishing with 19 goals.

COACH LLANES' QUOTE ON THE WIN:
· "Today was a team win. Everyone understood their roles and executed them well. We got away from the game plan towards the end of the first half, but were able to refocus coming out in the second. Our ability to recommit was awesome to see, and it took everyone to make it happen."

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
· This is the fourth game in Hokanson's career that she has scored at least five goals. It is also the third time in her career that she has had seven points in a game. The five goals today extends Hokanson's goal streak to 14 games dating back to 2014.
· Taylor McGhee got going on the offensive end as she scored four goals and two assists against the Highlanders. Those were the first points for McGhee this season.
· Junior Haley O'Donoghue led the team with five draw controls and also picked up three ground balls.
· Molly Tobias led the team with four ground balls. The four ground balls more than doubled her season output and now has seven on the season.
· Elaine Bradley and Lauren Hoffman split time in the goal to come up with eight saves in the game. Bradley got the win in the game.
