THE STORYLINE: · After a three game road trip, Kennesaw State was happy to be back in Fifth Third Bank Stadium as the Owls scored the first eight goals of the game and were up by as many as 13 before sealing the 11-goal victory.
· Three KSU player's notched hat tricks as
Sydney Farwick had three goals and two assists,
Connor Zophy had three goals and one assist and
Olivia Hokanson scored three more goals to give her 20 for the season.
· Freshman goalie
Lauren Hoffman received her first start in an Owl uniform and came up with eight saves in the first half allowing the Owls to build a comfortable lead.
HOW IT HAPPENED: ·The Owls scored 11 goals in the first half to take a commanding 10-goal lead into halftime. Hokanson led the way in the first half with all three of her goals and Farwick was right behind her with two goals in the first 30 minutes.
· KSU held the Gaels scoreless for almost 20 minutes in which they put eight goals in the back of the net.
· Early in the second half, Kennesaw State pushed their lead to 13 after scoring the first three goals in the second half and cruised to the victory from there.
COACH LLANES' QUOTE ON THE WIN: · "It's really exciting to continue our winning streak and especially nice to get a win at home. We'll now turn our attention to conference play and are really feeling confident in our systems. We've been working really, really hard and were coming up short in some games, but now with just a little more focus, intention and commitment, we were able to put a dominating win on the board today"
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: · This is the second game in a row that Kennesaw State has had three players score at least three goals. Against Saint Mary's, Hokanson had three, Farwick had three and Conner Zophy had three.
· The Owls continued to spread the ball around today as they have all season. KSU had nine different players score goals and assisted on 10 of the 17 goals.

Lauren Hoffman came up big in her first start today making eight saves and finished with a .571 save percentage.
·
Haley Swift won seven of the team's 19 draw controls today leading the Owls to a 19-6 advantage over the Gaels in that category.
·
Shannon Moore continued to show her offensive prowess as she scored two goals and had three dimes on the afternoon. The three assists are a career high for Moore.
