Season Statistics KENNESAW, Ga. -- The Kennesaw State men's tennis team swept a doubleheader from visiting Alabama A&M Saturday afternoon at the Siegel Center Courts on campus. The Owls won the day's first match 4-1 and claimed the nightcap 7-0.
KSU (8-2) captured the doubles point in both matches of the doubleheader.
Sam Slade and
Jorge Wilton teamed for a 6-0 win in the morning and clinched the point in Saturday's second match with a 6-2 victory over the Bulldogs' Carlos Salas and Armando Gray.
Junior
David Durham claimed a pair of singles victories. The Alpharetta native downed Salas in No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-0 in the morning and came back in the second match to beat Mateo Monroy 6-0, 6-2. Playing No. 1 singles,
Simon Pritchard took down Nishangan Nadaraja (6-3, 6-2) in Saturday's nightcap.
Pritchard also teamed with
Corey Smith for a 6-4 victory in No. 1 doubles over Nadaraja and Shakir Elvin in the second match.
