For the sixth consecutive match, the Owls got the all-important doubles point to jumpstart the dual match and take a 1-0 lead. Down 0-5 in the breaker, doubles tandem
Lucas de Torres Curth and
Jorge Wilton clinched the doubles point (7-6, 5) for KSU in a come-from-behind, dramatic finish over Eastern Kentucky to seal the point.
In singles play,
Simon Pritchard (6-4, 6-4) gave the Owls their second point on the day, but the Colonels won five consecutive single matches for the remainder of the day to earn the win. For the week, Pritchard went 2-0 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles play, proving to be the anchor for KSU.
