Olivia Hokanson led the Owls for the second straight game after scoring a pair of first half goals to push her consecutive games scored streak to nine, which dates back to 2014.
Davidson took an early lead, but Kennesaw State freshman
Taylor Catts got the Owls on the board with her first career goal. After the freshman's goal, the Wildcats rattled off three more to take a 7-1 lead with 14:19 remaining in the first half.
Facing a six-goal deficit, the Owls offense hit another gear scoring five of the next six goals to get within two of Davidson. The Wildcats picked up another two goals before half bringing the score to 10-6.
In the second half, Davidson took control of the game limiting Kennesaw State on the offensive end.
Freshman goalie
Alex Bunn made nine saves playing all 60 minutes for the Owls.
KSU will be back in action on Thursday, February 25 against Siena at Fifth Third Bank Stadium at 12:00 p.m.
On Tonight's Performance Against Davidson"Tonight's game was frustrating because of our lack of consistency and failure to make in-game changes that we needed to make. I was glad to see us executing our defensive sets the way we would like them to be. I think we have been working really hard on our defensive packages and they did a great job committing to those. On offense, we didn't make the smart shots we needed to against a new goalie and our in-game adjustments were not there. We will look at the film and correct our mistakes from this one and get ready for Siena on Thursday."
