Coach Perry Quote"It was a disappointing performance. We talked about coming out in the first quarter and getting off to a good start - which we were only down five after the first 10 minutes. I thought the second and third quarters really hurt us today. We didn't get up and be competitive and we had a hard time getting back into the game. We always focus on getting the ball inside and then out. We like to get people involved down low and then our shooters struggled today. Iceis was an energizer bunny today off the bench. If everyone matched her energy, I believe the result would have been different."
- Kennesaw State Head Coach Nitra Perry Notes-
Clara Young scored in double-figure digits for the sixth time this season, with her career best coming at Wofford for 15 points.
- The meeting marked the 26
th time the two programs met in a contest.
-
Allison Johnson grabbed six rebounds in the game, marking the ninth time this season she has grabbed at last that many rebounds in a single game. - Kennesaw State outscored Jacksonville 26-22 in bench points for the contest.
- For the game, the Owls had eight players tally points in the scoring column.
- Sawyers is now 38 points away from 1,000 career points She would be the third player to accomplish the milestone since the Owls turned Division I in 2005-06.
