TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  – Despite a late rally from Florida A&M, the Kennesaw State men's basketball team secured their first road victory of the season 76-74 in Tallahassee, Florida.Â

Kendrick Ray led all scorers with 26 points.
Aubrey Williams and
Nick Masterson both scored in double figures as well with 13 points each, and Williams pulled down his sixth double-double of the season also having 13 rebounds.

After being tied at halftime, the Owls once again came out hot in the second half and used a 15-3 run to go up by 12 with 11:09 remaining in the game.

KSU kept the lead in double-digits until the Rattlers cut the lead to six with 4:32 remaining. Ray responded with five quick points to push the lead back to double-digits.

FAMU had one more run in them though getting the lead down to a one possession game, but missed a full court shot at the buzzer that would've given the Rattlers the win.

In the first half, the Owls started the game in a similar fashion they started the second half. Kennesaw State raced out to a nine-point lead before the first media timeout. With the support of the home crowd, FAMU worked their way back into the game and took the lead using a 9-0 run.

After being down by as much as seven, the Owls reeled the Rattlers back in to tie the score at halftime.

Jordan Jones almost completed his second career double-double as he had 13 rebounds and finished with eight points. The 13 rebounds for Jones is a career high.

Overall, the Owls out-rebounded FAMU 49-33. The 49 rebounds is the second most in the Division I era.

Kennesaw State has one more game before they take a break for final exams as they travel to play the Michigan Wolverines this Saturday, December 3 at 1 p.m.

- The win against Florida A&M marks the first road victory for the Owls this season. It is the second win in a row for KSU against FAMU, evening the all-time series up at 2-2.
- The Owls had six players that scored at least eight points in the game. Anthony Wilson set a new career high with eight points with the majority of those coming from the free throw line going 6-6 from the charity stripe.
- Kennesaw State outrebounded the Rattlers 49-33 in the game. That is the biggest differential that KSU has had over an opponent all season. That is the third time that the Owls have outrebounded their opponents by 10.
- After being tied at halftime, KSU once again beat its opponent in the second half. The Owls have won the final 20 minutes of play in six of the eight games so far this season.
