BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Kennesaw State's men's tennis team opened its 2016 dual match schedule on Friday (Jan. 22) evening, coming up short in a 4-0 decision to Samford at the Pat M. Couring Tennis Pavillion in Birmingham, Alabama.

Playing indoors on three courts, the Owls came out with a lineup of
Simon Pritchard,
Manuel Castellanos,
Alejandro Valencia,
Sam Slade,
David Durham, and
Lucas de Torres Curth.

The Owls' singles lineup fought hard with Samford, as Castellanos dropped a tough match, 7-6, 6-2, to Trey Carter. Valencia also fought hard in his match, dropping a 6-3, 6-2 decision, while Pritchard lost 6-5, 6-2 in his match.
