Friday Results | Saturday Live Results Birmingham, Ala. – The Kennesaw State track and field teams returned to action at the UAB Blazer Invitational on Friday at the Birmingham Crossplex.
"We had a pretty good day today," Director of Track and Field and Cross Country
Andy Eggerth said. "There are bright spots and areas that need work. I'm pleased that many of the things we worked on last week were improved , but not yet where we can and should be."
On the men's side, Senior Josh Mulder was third in the shot put with a throw of 12.34m (40-6).
Bilal Abdullah finished right behind Mulder with a toss of 12.06m (39-7.50). Abdullah would grab a second place finish in the high jump with a jump of 2.05 (6-8.75).
Junior
Terrell Singleton had a solid day on the track for the Owls. He was 8th in the 200m with time of 22.29 and sixth in the 60m hurdles in 8.07. .
On the women's side,
Shakedra Robinson tied for fifth place in the high jump with a school record clearing the bar with a school record jump of 1.74m (5-8.5).
Shermaine Pinkard finished fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 17.35m (56-11.25).
On the track,
Kidan Kidane continued her strong start to the season finishing third in the 3000m in 9:52.99.
The Kennesaw State track and field teams will return to action at the UAB Vulcan Invite on Saturday, January 16 at the Birmingham Crossplex.
