The Kennesaw State soccer team continues its three-match homestand as the Owls return to Fifth Third Bank Stadium to open Atlantic Sun Conference play against Lipscomb on Saturday (Sept. 26) at 7 p.m. ET in Kennesaw, Ga.
 
Saturday's match will be the 13th meeting between the two programs, with the Owls holding a 10-2-0 advantage in the series. KSU took the previous meeting last season in dramatic fashion as Khatra Mahdi scored a double-overtime goal to send the Owls to a 1-0 win over the Bisons in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship semifinals on Nov. 7, 2014.
 
Gaughan, Fincher Net Goals in Hard-Fought Setback to Bulldogs
The Kennesaw State soccer team battled until the end, but it would not be enough as the Owls fell to Samford, 5-2, on a hot and humid Sunday (Sept. 20) afternoon at the KSU Marietta Campus Soccer Field in Marietta, Ga.

KSU Team Notes
- The Owls own an all-time record of 7-2-3 in their conference openers and are 5-2-3 in their Atlantic Sun Conference openers.
 
- The Owls are 9-2-1 all-time in conference home openers and own a 7-2-1 in their A-Sun Conference home openers.
 
- KSU has opened A-Sun Conference action against Lipscomb on three occasions, owning a 2-1 mark in those contests. Most recently, the Owls dropped a 3-0 decision to the Bisons in Nashville in 2014.
 
- The Owls are undefeated on Sept. 26, owning a 2-0-1 record on that date. The last time the Owls played on Sept. 26, they came away with a 1-0 win over North Florida in 2010.
 
- The Owls rank 21st in the nation with 23 total goals in 2015, while also ranking 41st in scoring offense (2.3) and 58th in points per game (6.0).

- Kemp's five goals also rank in a tie for first in the conference for active players, while Fincher's four scores sits in a tie for third.
 
- Sophomore Ida Hepsoe leads the Owls with three assists in 2015 and ranks in a tie for third in the conference.
