Gaughan, Fincher Net Goals in Hard-Fought Setback to BulldogsThe Kennesaw State soccer team battled until the end, but it would not be enough as the Owls fell to Samford, 5-2, on a hot and humid Sunday (Sept. 20) afternoon at the KSU Marietta Campus Soccer Field in Marietta, Ga.

KSU Team Notes- The Owls own an all-time record of 7-2-3 in their conference openers and are 5-2-3 in their Atlantic Sun Conference openers.
- The Owls are 9-2-1 all-time in conference home openers and own a 7-2-1 in their A-Sun Conference home openers.
- KSU has opened A-Sun Conference action against Lipscomb on three occasions, owning a 2-1 mark in those contests. Most recently, the Owls dropped a 3-0 decision to the Bisons in Nashville in 2014.
- The Owls are undefeated on Sept. 26, owning a 2-0-1 record on that date. The last time the Owls played on Sept. 26, they came away with a 1-0 win over North Florida in 2010.
