Photo Gallery | Chateau Elan Golf ClubBRASELTON, Ga. – First-round play at the 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Championships was suspended on Monday (April 20) following more than a four-hour delay due to inclement weather that included rain, hail, thunder, lightning and tornado warnings.
The weather caused unplayable course conditions at the Chateau Elan's Legends Course. Play is scheduled to resume at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday (April 21) and the plan is to complete 54 holes.
A lightning warning stopped play at 12:58 p.m. and teams never returned to the course.
At the time play was halted, Kennesaw State held a two-shot advantage over USC Upstate and Lipscomb. The Owls sit at 6-over par with 13 holes completed while the Spartans and Bison are at 8-over par.
Senior
Jimmy Beck is currently third in the individual standings at even-par through 13 holes, three shots behind Lipscomb's Dawson Armstrong, who is 3-under through 17 holes. Sebastian Lopez Bull of USC Upstate is in second place after completing his first round at 2-under par 68.
Sophomore
Teremoana Beaucousin (+1) is tied for fourth, while freshman
Fredrik Nilehn (+2) is tied for seventh, senior
Austin Vick (+3) is tied for 13th and senior
Kelby Burton (+4) is tied for 17th after completing 16 holes.
