THE GAME:
After two weeks at home, the Kennesaw State women's basketball team returns to the road for a pair of Atlantic Sun Conference games in Jacksonville, Fla., first starting with a 7 p.m. ET contest against Jacksonville on Thursday, Feb. 12 in Historic Swisher Gymnasium.

THE OPPONENT:
Jacksonville
The Dolphins enter Thursday's contest on a two-game winning streak after taking the first meeting with KSU, 78-64, on Jan. 31, before earning a 68-56 win over North Florida last Saturday. JU is 8-13 on the season and sits in a three-way tie for fifth place with a 3-5 record in A-Sun play. The Dolphins, who own a 5-4 mark at home in historic Swisher Gymnasium, are led by reigning A-Sun player of the week Sherranda Reddick with 13.5 points per game. Joining her in double figures is Briona Brown with 10.6 points per game, while also Brown also leads the team in minutes played. Kimberly Dawkins paces JU with 8.0 rebounds per game, while Ladeyah Forte' hands out 2.9 assists per contest. The Dolphins average 61.0 points per game, while giving up 63.1 points per contest. JU ranks third in the conference with a +2.1 rebounding margin, while ranking fifth with a +0.4 rebounding margin after forcing 19.5 miscues per game.
 
THE SERIES:
This will be the 20th meeting between the Owls and the Dolphins, with JU holding a 12-7 lead in the all-time series. The Dolphins won the earlier meeting between the two teams this season with a 78-64 win in Kennesaw, Ga., on Jan. 31. Sophomore Deandrea Sawyers led the Owls with 15 points and seven rebounds, while senior Kristina Wells registered her fourth double-double of the season with 11 points and a team-high 11 rebounds to go along with four assists and three blocks.

LAST TIME OUT:
Behind junior Jasmine McAllister's Atlantic Sun Conference-leading 12th double-double, the Kennesaw State women's basketball team earned a dominating 67-55 win over USC Upstate on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 7) at the KSU Convocation Center, making it the first time since the 2008-09 season that the Owls have won 15 games in a season. McAllister was a beast down low, putting up 19 points and a career-high 19 rebounds, while senior Kristina Wells also poured in 19 points, to go along with six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Sophomores Deandrea Sawyers and Aareon Smith joined the pair in double figures with 13 and 10, respectively, while Sawyers evened her career-high with nine rebounds to go with three assists and two blocks.
 
NEXT UP:
KSU continues its Jacksonville, Fla., road trip with a game against North Florida on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. in UNF Arena.
 
NEWS AND NOTES:
Win Total
The Owls equaled their win total from last season (6-24) in just eight games this season and have won 15 games for the first time since the 2008-09 season.
 
Owls on the Boards
KSU ranks second the conference in rebounding margin in overall play (+2.2) and is third in league play (+2.6). The Owls are holding their opponents to 37.7 rebounds per contest in overall play to rank second and 37.1 boards per game to rank third in A-Sun action.
 
Offensive Rebounds
KSU is grabbing 14.2 boards on the offensive end of the ball to rank third in the A-Sun in overall action. In league play, the Owls are averaging 13.6 offensive boards per game to also rank third in the league.
 
McAllister Earns Fifth A-Sun Newcomer of the Week Honor
Following a dominate performance against USC Upstate on Saturday, junior Jasmine McAllister earned her fifth A-Sun Newcomer of the Week accolade of the season. She registered her league-leading 12th double-double of the season with 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting and a career-high 19 rebounds, including eight boards on the offensive end.
 
A-Sun Weekly Accolades
 McAllister's honor marks the eighth weekly honor that the Owls have received from the A-Sun Conference this season. Along with McAllister, junior Karly Frye has also earned Newcomer of the Week honors, while senior Kristina Wells and sophomore Deandrea Sawyers have been tabbed Player of the Week.
 
Sawyers Leading A-Sun
Sawyers leads the A-Sun in scoring in overall action (15.2 ppg) and ranks second in conference play (16.3 ppg). She has three 20-point contests in league play.
 
McAllister on the Glass
McAllister ranks second in the conference in rebounding and fourth in scoring with 14.1 points and 11.0 rebounds per game, while also ranking in a tie for second in the A-Sun with a 50.0 percent clip from the field.
 
Wells on the Boards
Wells joins McAllister in the top-five in the conference for rebounding and ranks fifth with 8.1 boards per contest. She is also the third Owls in the top-20 for scoring and sits 17th with 10.9 points a game. 
 
McAllister in NCAA Rankings
McAllister's 11.0 boards per game ranks 18th in the NCAA, while the junior also leads the A-Sun and ranks 13th in the country with 4.4 offensive rebounds per game. On the season, she has grabbed 254 boards, with 102 coming on the offensive end of the court.
 
Double-Doubles
McAllister leads the conference with 12 double-doubles on the season and ranks 19th in the NCAA in that category.
 
Sawyers for Three
Sawyers has connected on the second-most three pointers in the conference in overall action with 51 treys on the season, while also ranking sixth with 20 threes made in league play. She is averaging 2.2 three-pointers per game, which ranks fourth in the A-Sun in that category.
 
Taking Care of the Rock
Wells owns the second-best conference assist-to-turnover ratio and is 37th in the country with a 2.1 ratio with 82 assists and just 39 turnovers in 814 minutes this season, the third-most minutes played in the A-Sun behind Frye (864) and Sawyers (841).
 
Wells Leading the Pack
Wells is the active career points leader in the A-Sun after going over the 1,200-point mark earlier this season. She is currently the only active player that has at least 1,250 points, 750 rebounds, 300 assists and 180 steals and has amassed 1,280 points, 782 rebounds, 300 assists and 189 steals in 110 games as an Owl.
