A LOOK AT THE MATCHUP …
The Kennesaw State women's basketball program will return to action at the KSU Convocation Center for the first time since Dec. 12 when the Owls welcomed Austin Peay on campus. Now, returning from a three-game road trip, the Owls will play host to Thomas University at 2 p.m. on ESPN3 and will look to improve on its 5-2 mark in front of the Owl faithful.

- Head coach Nitra Perry is in her fourth season, holding a 34-70 overall record with the Owls.

-  Kennesaw State has had FIVE players (Aareon Smith, Iceis Walker, Tayler Smith , Allison Johnson & Kelly Dulkoski) record career highs in points in just five games this season.
- In fact, Aareon Smith has recorded two games of career highs in points, 20 against Georgia State and 23 against Austin Peay - both games on the Owls' home floor.
 
KSU BY THE NUMBERS…

SCOUTING THOMAS...
- The Night Hawks are off to a 5-5 start this season picking up key victories over Middle Georgia State, Coastal Georgia, Trinity Baptist, Brewton-Parker, and Ave Maria.
- Thomas has three players averaging double figures in scoring each game.
-  Offensively, Thomas is led by senior forward Bra'Shey Ali. Bra'shey is averaging 14.3 points per game while averaging 14.1 rebounds per game.
- Seniors Bria Joyner-Williams and  Rayven Thomas are averaging 10.9 and 10.10 points per game, respectively.
- Bra'shey  leads the team with 35 assists, averaging 3.5 a game.
- Thomas is led by Coretta Brown who is in the midst of her third season. Her record at Thomas is 26-36.
- This will be the first time in school history the Owls and the Night Hawks have ever faced off.    

FROM THE LEAGUE...
- For the fifth time this season, Jasmine McAllister collected 15 rebounds in a single game. She had 30 rebounds combined last week for Kennesaw State.
- Kelly Dulkoski is averaging a career-best 9.5 PPG this season. Her previous best came last season when she scored just 4.5 points per game for the Owls.
- Aereon Smith has provided another scoring threat for the Owls in the last four games. She has scored 10+ points in each, including a career-high 23 vs. APU.
- Clara Young has stepped into a starting role in the last four games for KSU. She is averaging 5.7 asssists per game in the last four, which leads the team.
- McAllister's 17 total blocks this season ranks second in the A-Sun. She had 30 all of last season, and is averaging over 1.0 BPG since joining the Owls last year.
- All four of Kennesaw State's wins have come at home this season. They host Thomas (Ga.) next and will look for their 10th home win of 2015 calendar year.  

WIN WOULD…
- Give the Owls their fifth win at home this season.
- Improve to 5-2 at the KSU Convocation Center
- Win its first game against Thomas in its first-ever meeting.
- Snap a three-game losing skid and enter January coming off a win.
 
COMPARING THE OWLS AT HOME AND ON THE ROAD…
- The Owls are 4-2 at the KSU Convocation Center, but are 0-7 on the road.
- At home, KSU is averaging 61.7 points per game on 42 percent shooting from the field. The Owls are making 35 percent of their 3-point attempts in six games.
- On the road, the Owls are averaging 57.4 points per game on 37 percent shooting from the field. KSU is making just 27 percent of its 3-point attempts from the field away from the KSU Convocation Center.

- Jasmine McAllister notched her sixth double-double of the season against Xavier on Dec. 21.
- The senior totaled 13 points and 15 rebounds against the Musketeers.
- In fact, her 15 rebounds against Xavier notched her fifth game of pulling down 15 rebounds – four shy of her career high.
- Over her last four games, McAllister is averaging 10.5 points per game and 12.3 rebounds.
- She currently leads the team averaging 9.9 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.
 
ANOTHER CAREER NIGHT!…
- Aareon Smith poured in a career-high 20 points in an Owls uniform in their home-opening loss to crosstown Rival Georgia State.
- Smith finished with a game-high in points (20) and 3-pointers made (4) against the Panthers.
- Smith went 4-for-9 from beyond the arc and 5-for-11 overall from the field.
- However, Smith once again poured in a new career high, compiling a career-best 23 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field, including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc.
- Smith poured in 11 of the Owls' 24 points in the fourth quarter, including a perfect 2-for-2 from the field and 5-for-5 at the free throw line, to help KSU pull away and earn the win.
- Now, after four games, Smith is leading the team in scoring with 16.0 points per game on 41.5 percent shooting from the field.
- In fact, Smith is shooting a blistering 52 percent from beyond the arc in those four games.
 
DULKOSKI HOT SHOOTING!…
-Kelly Dulkoski made a career-high six 3-pointers in a single game against Presbyterian on Monday (Nov. 16) night.
- Dulkoski made six of the Owls seven 3-pointers made in the game, making three in each half against the Blue Hose.
- Dulkoski poured in her second game in which she made six 3-pointers at the KSU Convocation Center against Mercer (Dec. 5), tallying a new career-high 20 points.
- In fact, the redshirt sophomore is shooting over 40 percent from deep on the Owls' home floor, making 19-for-47 (40.4 percent) from beyond the arc.
- Dulkoski is averaging 15.3 points per game over her last four games on 45 percent shooting from the field.
- The shooting guard is shooting 13-for-31 from beyond the arc over her last four games, including a 20 point and 14 point effort over her last two road games against Morehead State and Xavier, respectively.
 
THINGS TO KNOW…
-The Owls 60-53 win against New Orleans on Nov. 29 marked the 70th win all-time at the KSU Convocation Center.
- Kennesaw State is 12 wins away from reaching 350 wins in the NCAA (335-281) all-time.
- Deandrea Sawyers has made 121 3-pointers over her first two seasons with the Owls. The most made 3-pointers in a season was 78 by Taylor Mills in 2011-12, which Sawyers fell just 15 shy of breaking that record.
- Sawyers is 3-for-4 from beyond the arc over her last two games, both at the KSU Convocation Center.
- -Jasmine McAllister also recorded 317 rebounds a season ago, which fell seven shy of the single-season record of 324 by Sametria Gideon in 2012-13.
-Deandre Sawyers is 222 points (7.4 points per game needed this season) away from reaching the 1,000 point plateau in 2015-16. She would be only the third player to accomplish the milestone since the Owls turned Division I in 2005-06.
- Deandrea Sawyers enters this week with 866 career points. She is 134 points away from reaching the 1,000 career point milestone, which is a 7.4 average the rest of the season.
- McAllister is averaging 9.0 rebounds per game, pulling down 90 boards per game.
- As a team, the Owls totaled 1,903 points (30 games) in 2014-15, which is just 42 points off the all-time Division I record of 1,945 posted in the 2011-12 season.
- Freshman Tayler Smith scored a career-high 17 points and played 21 minutes off the bench in KSUs overtime loss at Florida A&M.
