SCOUTING FLORIDA A&M
Florida A&M comes to Kennesaw, Georgia with a 3-4 record beating Johnson, Thomas and Alcorn State. The four losses have come against Southern Illinois, Houston, UTEP and Abilene Christian. Their average margin of defeat against those teams has been 25.75 points.

The team is led by Malcolm Bernard in virtually every statistical category.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES VERSUS FAMU
The Owls are 0-2 against the Rattlers as the teams faced off back in 2007 and 2008. Both games were within ten points as KSU lost 86-79 in 2007 and 63-58 in 2008.

Winning Home Opener
After beating IUPUI in its home opener, Kennesaw State has won its first home game for the second year in a row. Last year, the Owls beat Samford.

Overall since joining Division I, Kennesaw State is 6-4 overall in home openers.

Floor General
After leading the team averaging 15.2 points per game a season ago, Yonel Brown has had a really strong start to the season. Through eight games, he's leading the team averaging 18.1 points per game. He's been in double figures in seven of eight games and has led the team in five of the eight games.

Along with being the floor general, Brown also rarely comes off the floor. He has played 312 minutes through seven games averaging 39.0 per game. The 312 minutes is third most in the country. Brown has played all 40 minutes in four of the seven games and played 42 minutes in the overtime game against Elon.

Leading at Halftime
After the Jaguars took a six-point lead in the first half, the Owls held them to only five points the final eight minutes outscoring them 16-5 to take a five-point lead into the break. It was the first game this season that the Owls have lead at halftime.

Playing with the lead, Kennesaw State came out of the locker room and took control of the game for their first win of the season.

Dynamic Duo
Brown and Kendrick Ray combined for 59 points against Elon on Monday, November 30. They really caught fire in the second half combining to score 38 of the 53 points the team put on the board.

One of the two players has led the team in scoring in every game except for at Arizona State, and they have combined to have five 20-point games this season.

Early Season Awards
Yonel Brown was named to the Preseason Atlantic Sun All-Conference team and has shown why he was voted onto the team early on in the season.

After the opening game of the season, Brown was named the Co-Atlantic Sun Player of the Week after his 34 point and 10 rebound performance against Alabama. He shared the award with Dallas Moore, who scored 26 points and had 10 rebounds in North Florida's season opening win against Illinois.

He was also named to the Legends Classic Subregional All-Tournament Team after posting 19 points against IUPUI and then having his second double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Belmont.

Ray Provides Spark
After redshirting last season because of the NCAA transfer rules, Kendrick Ray has been second on the team averaging 15.3 points per game. He has led the team in scoring in three games with one of those being a 25-point performance against LSU. He also had 28 points and 12 rebounds against Elon.
