Coach Skinner Quotes
On the struggles of defending and rebounding against a team as big as ASU:
"Our biggest problem is that we had a terrible travel day yesterday. We were travelling for over 12 hours and didn't get in until late last night. So I think part of it was that we were a little bit tired. That definitely affected our legs and what we were doing on the offensive end. There were shots that we had that we were missing, so that was a problem for us. I thought we got good shots in the first half but we didn't put the ball in the basket. Then it started to compound. Our interior defense wasn't what we needed it to be. We were slow. Our legs were heavy and we were slow defensively and we couldn't get off the floor. We're a smaller team anyway and to be at a disadvantage that way obviously impacted us and that's why you had the results that we had."

On what he takes away from his team's first three games (Alabama, LSU, ASU):
"One of the things that we are trying to do is develop our confidence, particularly on the offensive end. I thought in the first half that we did a pretty decent job. We had our shots, but we just didn't make them. And now (ASU) is running out and eventually fatigue caught up to us. You need energy on defense to play good defense and we definitely didn't have that in the second half. We especially need it because we're a smaller team and quickness is important to us. But when you lack the quickness you are going to struggle, and that's what happened this evening."
- Kennesaw State Head Coach Al Skinner
