Box Score (XML) | Box Score (PDF) BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Kennesaw State men's basketball team finished its long four-game road trip with a loss to the Samford Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs took an eight-point lead seven minutes into the game, but
Aubrey Williams hit a jumper and a free throw to get the Owls back within three points. KSU got it within two points after two more Williams free throws, but then Samford started extending their lead.

With 5:16 left in the half, the Bulldogs went on a 9-0 run to stretch their lead to 13 points. Samford took a 14-point lead into halftime.

Out of the locker room, Samford went on a 7-2 run to go up 50-31 and the Owls couldn't recover after that.

Next, the Owls will finally head back to Kennesaw State and have their home opener this Monday, November 23 against IUPUI at 6:30 p.m.

Notes-Â
Yonel Brown scored 22 points tonight against Samford. It is the second most points he has scored this season after his 34-point performance against Alabama.

Aubrey Williams scored a career high with 16 points in 26 mintues. Williams also led the team in rebounds with eight.
- The third player in double-figures for the Owls was
Kendrick Ray with 15 points. It is the third time in four games he has scored in double-figures.
