A LOOK AT MONDAY NIGHT…
The Kennesaw State women's basketball program is set for year number four under head coach Nitra Perry, and will continue its regular-season opening week welcoming Presbyterian (0-1) on the campus of Kennesaw State. The Blue Hose are coming off a 58-44 loss at the hands of Virginia Tech and will try and snap a five-game losing streak to the Owls. The game is set for tip-off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN3 at the KSU Convocation Center.

LAY-UPS…
  •  The Owls are 5-0 all-time against Presbyterian, with the last meeting coming in the 2007-08 season - which turned out to be a 86-66 victory for KSU.
  • The Owls' meetings with the Blue Hose also came in 1995-96 (first meeting), 1997-98, 2000-01, and 2002-03.
  •  Head Coach Nitra Perry is entering her fourth season with the Owls
  •  Coach Perry is 30-61 overall as a head coach, but won a program-best 17 wins in 2014-15 The Owls' 17 wins in 2014-15 marked the first winning season since 2008-09, including a program-best 12-game start at 10-2.
  •  The Owls and Blue Hose will battle each other for the sixth time in history since the Owls' all-time program history.
  •  Kennesaw State will have seven letter winners returning from a season ago, which helped anchor a 17 win season.
  •  Stacey Franklin, Janie Mitchell and Nicci Kelly will help Coach Perry on the bench as the assistants in 2015-16.
  •  The Owls finished in a tie for fourth in the Atlantic Sun Conference standings in 2014-15 with a 6-8 mark in league play.
  •  Jasmine McAllister was named 2015 A-Sun Newcomer of the Year.

KSU BY THE NUMBERS…
1 – The Owls are coming off an impressive 17-13 campaign in the 2014-15 season, and will be one win away from winning its 70th all-time Atlantic Sun game since joining the league in the 2005-06 season.
4Nitra Perry will enter her fourth season at head coach for the Owls. She was named the sixth head coach in program history in 2012 and holds a 30-61 all-time record at KSU.
6 – Kennesaw State is coming off one of its best seasons in program history and won six Atlantic Sun Conference games as part of last season's success.
7 – KSU will return seven key players from a season ago, while also welcoming seven newcomers to the team to compete in the 2015-16 season.
11 – This will mark the 11th season of competition in the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Owls are 69-133 all-time.
17 – The Owls won 17 games last year, which marked KSU's winningest season in the Division I era and the first winning campaign since the 2008-09 season. The Owls opened the season with a D-I program best 10-2 mark through the first 12 games.
20Aareon Smith scored a career-high 20 points versus Georgia State.
39 – KSU averaged 39.8 rebounds per game in 14-15, almost averaging a rebound per minute and held a 3.1 rebounding margin over its opponents.
52- Kennesaw State finished its games strong last season, outscoring their opponents by a total of 52 points in the second half and overtime combined.
63- The Owls average just over 63 points per game (63.4) in 14-15, holding a slight 0.9 scoring margin over its opponents.
 
SCOUTING PRESBYTERIAN…
- The Blue Hose will embark on a 197 journey to Kennesaw, Georgia to face the Owls of Kennesaw State for the first time since the 2007-08 season.
- Presbyterian finished 16-15 in the 2014-15 campaign, including an even 10-10 mark in Big South play.
- The Blue Hose finished sixth in the conference and went 7-3 at home in the conference, but went only 3-7 away in Big South play. 
- Presbyterian finished its home schedule with an impressive 10-3 mark, but went 5-11 on the road.
- Head Coach Ronny Fisher begins his eighth season with the Blue Hose at the helm of the bench.
- The Blue Hose's colors are Garnet and Blue and Presbyterian's women's basketball program began in 1977-78.
- Presbyterian's overall record is 519-469 (.526) and had its best season with a 28-2 record in 1999-00.
- The Blue Hose has made six (6) NCAA Tournament Appearances (Div. II) and made its last appearance in 2001-02.
- The Blue Hose's first year competing in the D-I level was 2007-08 and holds an 81-155 overall record entering the 2015-16 season.
- Presbyterian competes in the Big South Conference and played at the Templeton Center – home of 2,500.
 
A LOOK AT THE BLUE HOSE…
- The Blue Hose will return eight (8) letterwinners from their 2014-15 campaign, while bringing in five newcomers to the team.
- Presbyterian will return four starters while losing one from the regular-game starting lineup.
- Junior guard Aianna Kelly will return to the lineup, averaging 6.5 points per game and 6.1 boards a season ago. She also tallied 34 steals for the Bluje Hose.
- Sophomore guard Janie Miles will also return to the lineup, averaing 8.8 point per game last season. She also totaled 59 assists and led the team in 3-pointers (51) and 3-point percentage (.359).
- Sophomore guard Cotney Storey returns, averaging 7.8 points per game and led the team in assists with 83 and steals with 45.
- Junior forward Rebecca Walker averaged 6.4 points per game and pulled down 4.1 boards per game, while also totaling 20 blocks in 2014-15.
