Christopher Guglielmo posted rounds of 73-69 for a 2-over par 142 to lead Kennesaw State at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate that opened Monday (Oct. 5) at the par-70, 7,209-yard Old Overton Country Club in Vestavia Hills, Ala.
Guglielmo is currently tied for tied for 18th, 12 shots behind Alabama's Robbie Shelton who is setting the pace at 12-under par 130 following rounds of 66-64.
Kennesaw State recorded rounds of 292-292 and is in 10th place at the 12-team event with a 24-over par total of 584. Host and defending tournament champion Alabama leads the tournament with a 14-under par score of 546. The Crimson Tide has an eight-shot lead over second place Auburn (554, -6).
Freshman
Jake Fendt is tied for 35th after carding rounds of 72-73 for a 5-over par 145. Sophomore
Fredrik Nilehn (74-73 – 147) is tied for 41st, while freshman
Pablo Rodriguez-Tabernero Torres (73-77 – 150) and junior
Teremoana Beaucousin (78-77 – 155) are tied for 51st and 59th, respectively.
Tournament action concludes on Tuesday (Oct. 6) with the Owls grouped with Charlotte and Mississippi State and scheduled to tee off at 9 a.m. (ET). All the action can be followed live on the Internet at
