THE OPPONENT:LipscombThe Bisons come into Saturday's contest with an overall record of 5-11 and are 0-2 in the conference after dropping games against Northern Kentucky and USC Upstate, a 71-68 setback in Spartanburg in the team's most recent outing on Wednesday. The Bisons, who has lost five of their last six contests, has three players averaging double figures, led by Ashley Southern with 13.3 points per game to go along with a team-leading 9.1 rebounds per contest. Danay Fothergill adds 11.8 points per game, while Sara Bliss chips in 10.8 per contest. Lipscomb is averaging 8.3 three-pointers per game and is shooting at 34.4 percent beyond the arc. The Bisons ranks last in the league in scoring defense, scoring margin, field goal percentage defense, and rebounding margin, but sit second with a 74.0 team free throw percentage and 133 made three-pointers.

Deandrea Sawyers, the Kennesaw State women's basketball team used a 47-point second half to earn its first win in an Atlantic Sun Conference home opener since 2008-09 with a 66-58 victory over Northern Kentucky on Wednesday night (Jan. 14) at the KSU Convocation Center. Sawyers connected on 6-of-12 from the floor, including a 4-of-8 mark from the three-point lane and draining 10-of-11 free throws, while also registering a game-high eight rebounds and two assists in the win. Kelly Dulkoski added a second-half spark with a career-high 12 points, going 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Junior
Jasmine McAllister joined Sawyers and Dulkoski in double figures with 11 point, while senior

Wells, the Bison SlayerWells has played well against the Bisons in her career and is averaging 15.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, while also shooting at a 44.4 percentage from the field and a 77.1 percent from the free throw line in five games versus Lipscomb. Wells was a Bison killer a season ago, averaging 24 points, nine rebounds and eight assists against Lipscomb, including going 11-of-22 from the floor and 25-of-35 from the charity stripe.
First-Ever Triple-Double in Dl HistoryWells registered the first-ever triple-double in KSU Division I history with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists at Lipscomb on Jan. 9, 2014.

McAllister on the BoardsMcAllister ranks second in the conference in rebounding and third in scoring with 14.4 points and 10.9 rebounds per game, while also ranking second in the A-Sun with a 50.8 percent clip from the field.
Owls on the OffensiveSawyers leads the Owls in scoring and ranks second in the A-Sun with 15.7 points per game, while Wells ranks in the top-20 with 11.3 points per game to sit 18th in the league.

Wells on the GlassWells joins McAllister in the top-five in the conference for rebounding and ranks fifth with 8.3 boards per contest.
Rebounding MachineMcAllister's 11.3 boards ranks 20th in the NCAA and along with that the junior leads the A-Sun and ranks 23rd in the country with 4.2 offensive rebounds per game. On the season, she has pulled down 185 rebounds, with 72 of those coming on the offensive end of the court.
Wells' Assist-to-Turnover RatioWells owns the second-best conference assist-to-turnover ratio and is 15th in the nation with a 2.7 ratio with 62 assists and just 23 turnovers in 608 minutes this season.
