THE OPPONENT:Georgia StateThe Panthers come into Wednesday's midweek battle with a 3-1 record after having its three-game win streak to open the season snapped by Liberty on Sunday, 73-71. GSU has registered wins over North Florida (72-59). Thomas (101-55) and Samford (61-56) and has played all but one of its games at home at the GSU Sports Arena. GSU has forced 97 turnovers in its first four games (24.3 per game), while leading the Sun Belt in steals per game (13.3). The Panthers have won 22 of its last 25 when holding its opponent under 60 points, including all three wins this year. GSU is paced by Kayla Nolan with 14.5 points per game and Alisha Andrews with 12.8 points per contest. Brittany Logan is GSU's leading on the glass with 6.5 rebounds per contest.
THE SERIES:This will be the seventh all-time meeting between the Owls and the Panthers, with Georgia State leading the series 6-0 after earning a 60-54 win over KSU in last season's meeting between the two schools and exactly a year from when they will play this season, Dec. 3, 2013. Sophomore

LAST TIME OUT:The Kennesaw State women's basketball team wrapped up its Thanksgiving holiday trip on a high note as the Owls combined a strong start with free throws down the stretch to earn a 66-62 win over Ivy League foe Columbia on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 29) in Levien Gymnasium. NEXT UP:After over three weeks away from the friendly confines of the KSU Convocation Center, the Owls return to Kennesaw on Saturday, Dec. 6 for a 2:30 p.m. contest against Ohio Valley Conference opponent Murray State. Saturday's game will be a part of a KSU basketball double header, with the men's team playing earlier at 12 p.m. against Kent State.
NEWS AND NOTES:Best Start Since…With four wins in the first six games, the Owls are off to their best start since the 2004-05 season when KSU opened its campaign with seven wins in its first nine contests.

Jasmine McAllister earned her second-straight A-Sun Conference Newcomer of the Week accolade on Monday after averaging 18.5 points and 12.5 rebounds over the week, while shooting the rock at a 61.9 percent from the field and a 73.3 clip from the charity stripe.
McAllister on the BoardsMcAllister is leading the league and ranks 12th nationally with 11.8 rebounds per game, while also ranking third in the conference with 15.8 points per game.
Double DoublesMcAllister has registered four double-doubles on the season, which leads the A-Sun and ranks 10th nationally.
Offensive BoardsMcAllister is also leading the league and ranks seventh nationally with 5.3 offensive rebounds per game. On the season, the Memphis, Tenn., native has pulled down 32 boards on the offensive side of the court.

KSU ReboundersThe foursome also ranks in the top-20 in the conference in rebounding with McAllister leading the way, followed by Wells (6.2 rpg, ninth), Sawyers (5.7 rpg) and Mosely (4.8 rpg, 18th).
Field Goal PercentageMosely leads the conference with a 54.5 field goal percentage, making 24-of-44 field goals, while McAllister sits right behind the redshirt-senior and sits second in the league with a 53 field goal percentage.
Dishing out the HelpJunior
Karly Frye is averaging 4.2 assists per game, ranking her third in the conference and has dished out 25 helpers on the year.
Wells at the Charity StripeWells has led the Owls from the charity stripe and ranks fifth in the conference with an 83.3 percentage from the free throw line, going 25-of-30 through six games this season. She opened the season with 16-straight free throws, before missing her first attempt at Georgia Southern on Nov. 22.
