THE OPPONENT:Georgia TechThe Yellow Jackets enter Wednesday's midweek clash at 2-0 after big wins over Loyola Chicago (92-57) and Morgan State (105-76) to start the 2014-15 season. GT, who received a vote in this week's women's basketball Associated Press Top 25 Poll, has six players averaging double-digit points. Kaela Davis leads the pack with 19.5 points per game, while Aaliyah Whiteside is averaging 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per contest. Roddreka Rogers adds a double-double average of 13.5 points and 15 rebounds per game for GT. In their two contests this season, the Jackets have outscored their opponents, 197-133 and are shooting 50.4 percent from the field.

Breonna Mosely, the Kennesaw State women's basketball team earned a 65-56 road win over Tennessee State in the Gentry Center on Monday (Nov. 17) night in Nashville, Tenn. McAllister led KSU with a game-high 25 points and 14 rebounds, while Mosely registered 13 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
NEXT UP:The Owls will make the drive down to Statesboro, Ga., for a 4:30 p.m. ET contest against regional rival Georgia Southern on Saturday, Nov. 22 in Hanner Fieldhouse.
NEWS AND NOTES:A-Sun Preseason PollsIn the A-Sun's annual preseason women's basketball coaches and media polls, KSU was voted seventh in both polls. FGCU earned the top position in both polls, followed by Stetson and Northern Kentucky in the second and third positions.
Best Start Since 2007-08With back-to-back wins to start the 2014-15 campaign, the Owls are off to their best start since the 2007-08 season, when KSU also began the year with a pair of victories.

Season Opening WinFor the first time since the 2007-08 season, the Owls won its season opening game with the program's first win over the College of Charleston on Friday night. KSU had last won a season opening contest on Nov. 9, 2007 in a 74-70 overtime win over Jacksonville State.
Home OpenersThe Owls have now won three-consecutive home openers after earning the 68-61 win over the Cougars on Friday, as KSU also notched wins over Tennessee State last season and against Troy in the 2012-13 home opener at the KSU Convocation Center.
Mosely's DebutAfter not playing in a collegiate game for almost two years, Mosely came back better than ever with 19 points in her KSU debut on Friday night, including a 6-of-11 effort from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 mark from the free throw line.

Wells Named to A-Sun Preseason A-Sun All-Conference TeamWells earned a spot on the 2014-15 Preseason Atlantic Sun All-Conference Team after having a breakout season in 2013-14. She was the leading scorer for the Owls with 459 points and became Kennesaw State's third 1,000 career point scorer in the Division I era last season. She ranked in top four in the A-Sun in scoring and rebounding with 15.3 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, while also averaging 3.3 assists and 1.6 assists as a junior.
