Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET at NKU Soccer Stadium.

THE OPPONENT:Northern KentuckyThe Norse enter Saturday night's contest with a 1-3-1 mark in the A-Sun after splitting their conference matches last weekend. NKU dropped a 2-0decision on Friday night, before posting its first league win on Sunday in a 4-3 victory over Stetson. The Norse also played a rare midweek game on Wednesday, falling to Louisville, 1-0. NKU is led offensively by Macy Hamblin with 16 points on six goals and four assists, as well as Kelsey Laumann with 12 points on three goals and six assists. Tanner Ruberg (2-3-2) and Brooke Schocker (3-4-1) have split time in goal, with Ruberg owning a 1.41 goals-against average with 10 goals against, while Schocker owns a 1.91 goals-against average with 16 goals against.
THE SERIES:The Owls hold a 2-0-0 advantage in the all-time series with the Norse, taking the programs' first meeting with a 1-0 win on Oct. 5, 2012 in Highland Heights, Ky., before a 2-0 win on Sept. 29, 2013 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. LAST TIME OUT:The Kennesaw State soccer team split a pair of Atlantic Sun Conference road matches last weekend as the Owls traveled to Jacksonville, Fla., for contests against Jacksonville and North Florida. The Owls earned a gritty 1-0 win over the Dolphins on Friday (Oct. 10) as redshirt-sophomore
Brittney Reed netted her second goal of the season in the fourth minute of the match off of the assist from classmate
Danielle Gray for the eventual game-winner. On Sunday KSU dominated the Ospreys, but were unable to put a score in the net as UNF took advantage with a goal in the 80th minute for the 1-0 victory despite being outshot 23-7, including an 8-1 count on shots on goal.

Calder Named Senior CLASS Award CandidateOn Sept. 2, senior
Nicole Calder was named as one of 30 candidates for the 2014 women's soccer Senior CLASS Award. The list is comprised of 30 NCAA Division I seniors who have notable achievements in four areas – community, classroom, character and competition. The candidate class will be narrowed to 10 finalists midway through the regular season, before the winner is announced during the 2014 Women's College Cup in December.
Second Half ScorersKSU has scored nine of its 13 goals this season in the second half, while only allowing eight goals in the second period of action.
CornersThe Owls rank fourth in the Atlantic Sun Conference with 68 corners in 15 matches and are averaging 4.53 corners per match this season.

Maggie Gaughan leads the Owls with 10 points on five goals this season. She sits in a tie for fourth in goals (five), while also ranking in the top 10 in points (10, t-eighth), points per game (0.71 points/game, eighth), goals per game (0.36 goals/game, fifth) and game-winning goals (t-fourth, two).

Marit Sandtroeen sits right behind Gaughan with seven points on three goals and an assist in her freshman campaign, with her three scores ranking in a tie for 10th in the conference. In league action, Sandtroeen leads the Owls with three points on a goal and an assist in five A-Sun matches.

Brittney Reed leads the team and ranks seventh in the A-Sun with 31 shots on the season and is averaging 2.21 shots per game, which sits sixth in the league in that category. In A-Sun play, Reed is averaging 3.0 shots per match, which ranks sixth in that category.

Mady Carter have split time in goal this season for the Owls, with Sturdivant ranking fifth in the conference with a 1.59 goals against average, while Carter owns a 1.91 goals against average. The pair rank fifth and seventh in that category during A-Sun matches, with Carter posting a 1.32 goals-against average in 272 minutes and Sturdivant registering a 1.50 goals-against average in 180 minutes.
