THE MATCHES:
The Kennesaw State volleyball heads south for the team's first road matches since Sept. 7, as the Owls take on Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson this Friday and Saturday in Atlantic Sun Conference Action.

The 6-6 Owls, 1-1 in the A-Sun, take on FGCU this Friday at 6 p.m. ET before heading to DeLand, Fla. for a meeting with the Hatters on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.

Florida Gulf Coast    Â
Perennial volleyball power Florida Gulf Coast has struggled in the early goings, sitting at 2-10 overall. The Eagles are allowing opponents to hit .267 this season while hitting just .167 themselves. Setter Gigi Meyer rank in the top 100 in assists per set with a 10.08 average.

Stetson         Â
Stetson returns to the court a much improved team from one year ago, holding a 10-5 overall record with an undefeated mark in the A-Sun at 2-0 through one weekend of conference play. The hatters rank No. 68 in the nation in service aces and are averaging nearly two per set played with Kayla Weller averaging 0.36 per set alone.

The Owls return home to start off the month of October, taking on Jacksonville on Oct. 4, and North Florida on Oct. 5.

Opening Up A-Sun Play
The Owls opened up Atlantic Sun Conference play this past week with a 1-1 record, defeating USC Upstate in straight sets before falling to ETSU, 3-1.

Head coach
Keith Schunzel has lead his team to an impressive record at the KSU Convocation Center with a 5-1 mark at home in 2013.
Offensive Force
Kelly Marcinek and Keyairra Stevenson are now tied for the team lead in kills with 135 after a 21-kill weekend for Stevenson against USC Upstate and East Tennessee State.
Metroka Hits the Century Mark
Setter
Sara Metroka played in her 100th career match this past weekend during an outing against ETSU. Metroka is the fourth player in program history to reach the century mark with
Camille Pedraza right behind with 95 matches played and
Emily Bean holding at 89.
