2012
Bean was one of the most proficient players in the 2012 season, playing in 30 matches while racking up a career-high 199 kills... Was second on the squad with 53 total blocks and also came up with 170 digs... Also came up with 27 service aces... Put up double-digit kill totals in eight seperate matches including picking up 14 kills on two occasions, once against USC Upstate (9/18) and again against Stetson (9/22)... Had eight blocks and a career-best 23 digs against SEC opponent Mississippi State (8/25) during the Maroon Classic championship match, bringing the Owls their first ever tournament win as well as the program's first win over an SEC opponent...

2011
Played in all 29 matches and 109 sets… Was third on the squad with 176 kills and second in service aces with 28… Earned double-digit kills on three separate occasions including a season high of 15 during the season opener against Charlotte (8/26)… Had nine games in double-digit digs and a game high of 16 in a 3-2 win over Winthrop (9/2)… Also finished the year with 53 blocks.

2010
Played in 25 matches and 61 sets...Had 33 kills and 66 digs...Two kills and three total blocks against Illinois-Chicago (9/4)...Earned first collegiate start against Memphis, getting three kills and three blocks (9/4)...Had three aces, two kills on two attempts and five digs in a win over Presbyterian (9/17)...Her five kills against Troy (9/18) were a season-best...Against No. 25 Ohio State, had four kills and one block (9/18)...Had three kills in three swings in one set against Lipscomb (10/2)...Had four kills in win over North Florida (10/9)...In last 10 matches of regular season, Emily had multiple digs in each match, including season-high 14 against Mercer (11/13).

Prep
Lettered for three seasons in volleyball, earning First-Team All-County honors, as well as All-Conference honors in 2009 at Pike High School....In her senior year, had 333 kills, 68 aces, 275 digs, and 45 total blocks...Was also named to the ICGSA South All-Star team her senor year...Played her club volleyball for Team Indiana.

Born in 1992, in Indianapolis, Emily is the youngest daugther of Bill and Mollie Bean...Has one sibling (Erin - 22)...Emily has yet to declare a major.
