Ashley Beyer

Ashley Beyer is beginning her second season with the Owls after being hired in April of 2023. Beyer comes to the Black and Gold with nine years of coaching experience including most recently at Georgia State.
 
Beyer spent five years with the Panthers program at Georgia State before moving north to join KSU, having started with the program in the 2017 season. Prior to her move to Georgia, Beyer also spent a year at the University of Hartford in 2016-17 as an assistant coach, and a year as the assistant coach for the Illini Elite Volleyball Club in Bloomington, Ill. (2015-16). During her time at Georgia State, Beyer was also the head volleyball coach, recruiting coordinator, and interim club director for A5 South Volleyball Club in Tyrone and Newnan, Ga.
 
An outstanding player at both the college and professional ranks, Beyer began her collegiate career at Kishwaukee Junior College, where she earned 2008 All-American honors after leading the Kougars to the national championship title. She was named the MVP of the 2008 NJCAA National Championship and inducted into the school's Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018. Beyer then moved onto Marquette, where she was an AVCA All-Northeast Region Honorable Mention selection, while also claiming one first-time All-BIG EAST honor and two more second-team recognitions. Beyer received her bachelor's degree in communications in 2012 from Marquette.
 
She then spent the next four years playing professionally overseas, first for Lindesberg VC in Sweden (2012). Beyer also played for Val de Traver VC in Switzerland (2012-14) and Lingbe VC in Denmark (2015).
