A four-year letter winner at the University of Arkansas, Erika Beaver (Miller) begins her first season as a volunteer assistant coach on head coach Benji Walton’s staff.
Beaver joins the Kennesaw State women’s soccer program after a successful career as a defender at Arkansas where she helped the Razorbacks to three NCAA Tournaments and one Sweet 16 appearance.
Beaver, who served as team captain and played in a career-high 24 matches as a senior, helped Arkansas to an 18-5-1 record in 2016 as the Razorbacks recorded wins over No. 2 Duke and No. 4 Florida, finished second at the SEC Tournament, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
While contributing to Arkansas’ march to the NCAA Tournament as a sophomore in 2014, Beaver was named to the Duke Nike Classic All-Tournament Team, and scored a goal against Georgia in the SEC Tournament that was featured on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10.
Named to the SEC Honor Roll all four years, Beaver served two years on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and soccer leadership team. She earned a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering in 2016.
A native of Knoxville, Tenn., Beaver attended St. John’s High School before graduating from Knoxville Catholic High School in 2013. She helped St. John’s to a Florida state tile and Knoxville Catholic to the Tennessee state final four, earning team Most Valuable Player honors as a junior.
A standout player at the club and ODP levels, Beaver was a member of FC Alliance in Knoxville, which won a state championship in 2010 and runner-up finish in 2011.
The Knoxville, Tenn., native earned her USSF “E” coaching license.
