Tim Dombrowski serves as the assistant sports performance coach at Kennesaw State. He will be working with women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, women's golf and cheer, while assisting with men's basketball.
Dombrowski comes from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he was the head strength and conditioning coach at Huron High School. He worked with athletes that played basketball, rowing, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, wrestling, football, water polo, and power lifting, while also being in charge of maintenance, inventory and budgeting for the weight room.
While working at Huron HS, Dombrowski was also a personal trainer at Liberty Athletic Club. He programmed and implemented programs for every athletic program along with keeping a cliental base of 20 hours of personal training a week.
Before joining the staff at Huron HS and Liberty, Dombrowski was a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the men’s and women’s cross country teams and men’s cheerleading team at the University of Michigan. He assisted with women’s volleyball, baseball, wrestling, and the track and field teams. Some of the athletes he worked with went on to have very successful, athletic careers as he did the programming and training for three professional distance runners, five regional wrestlers, and one member of Team USA’s wrestling team. Other than programming and training the athletes, some of the other responsibilities that Dombrowski was responsible for were the internship curriculum and weight room maintenance.
In August 2011, he received his Master’s in Sports Science, with honors, from the United States Sports Academy. He has his CSCS certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Level 1 Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting.
Dombrowski was a starting linebacker all four years at Eureka College. He also competed in the Olympic weightlifting at the 85 Kg weight class while he worked at the University of Michigan under Bo Sandoval.
Dombrowski’s wife, Staci, is a math teacher and they reside in Kennesaw.
