After having a storied career with the perennial power Florida Gators, Devon Schneider has been named an assistant coach for the Kennesaw State women’s lacrosse team, Laura Maness announced on Wednesday, August 3.

“I am thrilled to have Devon join our staff,” Maness said. “She will be responsible for overall skill development and will serve as the offensive coordinator. Her experience on the field and coaching with club programs is very impressive and she will be a great ambassador for our program.”

Schneider recently graduated from the University of Florida winning four regular season titles with two being in the American League Conference and two being in the Big East compiling a 69-14 record as a player.

“I am very excited to be a part of the Kennesaw State women’s lacrosse staff,” Schneider said. I’m thankful for the opportunity that the KSU athletic department and Laura Maness have given me. I look forward to working under Maness as she brings her knowledge and experience to this program and can’t wait to get started!”

Playing under Amanda O’Leary, Schneider compiled 85 goals and 17 assists in a Gators uniform and was named to the All-Big East First Team after her junior season.
