Adrianna Piontek

The Kennesaw State women’s lacrosse team has named Adrianna Piontek as the program’s newest assistant coach, head coach Kristina Llanes announced on Tuesday, August 11.

“I am very excited by the addition of Adrianna to our coaching staff,” Llanes said. “Her experience as a student athlete under exceptional coaching staffs and most recently working with a new program made her a natural fit for the direction we are going. Adrianna will be challenging our student-athletes to elevate their defensive concepts and game strategies to help us become more competitive at a regional and national level.”

Her duties at Kennesaw State will to be the defensive strategist, be the housing and travel coordinator and will have some recruiting responsibilities.

After a successful defensive career at Cincinnati, Piontek joined Wingate, a startup NCAA Division II program, as a graduate assistant. After going 2-6 in the first season, the Bulldogs increased there win total to nine as just a second year program.

“We are excited to have Adrianna join the Owls family,” lacrosse program administrator Katie Egloff said. “Adrianna’s experience as a student-athlete and former captain will bring a great perspective to the team and to the coaching staff.”

In her four-year career with the Bearcats, Piontek was named a captain for her senior season. She was also named to the Big East All-Academic Team three times.

She graduated from Wingate with a Master of Arts degree in Sport Management.
