Jamie Baker is in his third year on the KSU staff as the video coordinator, after being hired in the summer of 2023.
In his role as video coordinator for the Owls, he oversees all video responsibilities and skill development within the program. Baker also helps with opponent scouting and preparations throughout the season, as well as assisting the coaching staff with practice and postgame clean-ups as well as recruiting videos.Â
He began his collegiate career at Presbyterian for his freshman and sophomore seasons. During his sophomore year, Presbyterian set a school-record with 20 wins and played in its first-ever D1 postseason tournament (CIT). Baker then played his final two seasons at Appalachian State, won the 2021 Sun Belt Tournament championship and reached the NCAA Tournament his senior year.
Following his playing career, he spent the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons on the Alabama staff, assisting with Coach Pettway on the offensive side of the ball. The Crimson Tide made the NCAAs both of his seasons in Tuscaloosa, including the 2023 season where they swept the SEC regular season and tournament championships while making a Sweet 16 appearance.
Baker graduated from Appalachian State in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in communications and media studies in May 2019, and received his master's in hospitality management and sport management from Alabama in May of 2023.
