Finished his prep career with 990 points and 609 rebounds … Lead Brunswick High School to a 19-9 season and a berth in the Georgia 2AAAA Sweet 16 his senior season … Was a Region 2AAAA First Team all-region selection in 2008-2009 … Averaged 14.5 points, 10 rebounds and four assists for the Pirates his senior season … Had his most impressive double-double of his high school career during his senior season when he scored 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds against Camden County High School … Was a four-year varsity letter-winner and two-year captain and was the four-time recipient of the BHS Coaches Award … Shot 63% from the field and 80% from the free-throw line during his senior season … Was the team Most Valuable Player, won the coaches Award and was the Outstanding President Academic Award and the Academic All-Star Athlete Award … He scored a prep career high 26 points against Ware County High School in his junior year … Averaged in double figures all four high school seasons … His junior season he averaged 10 points, seven rebounds, his sophomore season he scored 12 points per game and grabbed six rebounds and during his freshman season he scored 10 points and averaged five rebounds … Graduated with honors at the top of his class with a 3.66 grade point average … He was recruited by Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Auburn, Stanford and Jacksonville.
